The Periodic Table Of The DJ chronicles over 130 years of DJ culture

A new print by London-based artist Paulo Guimaraes aka Misfit chronicles over 130 years of DJ culture.

Spanning Thomas Edison’s invention of the phonograph in 1877 to the Second Summer of Love in 1988, The Periodic Table Of The DJ commemorates the 30 year anniversary of the latter. According to the artist, it was "influenced by ‘Last Night A DJ Saved My Life’ by Bill Brewster and Frank Broughton, various blogs, websites and endless forum debates (and arguments) on the origins of the DJ."

The print - which is available as an A1 Giclee fine art print, and printed on Origin Expression Textured 300gsm paper - "takes in the key pioneering DJs, Clubs, Tech, Jamaican selectors, Northern Soul champions, Disco originals, Hip Hop groundbreakers, Balearic influencers, House pioneers, Techno innovators and various chancers."
